Dr. Amy Kind recently briefed the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on her work that showed that patients who were more socioeconomically disadvantaged were more likely to be readmitted to the hospital. Dr. Kind et al.’s paper on the topic also won the 2014 Best Research in Health & Society at UW-Madison prize.
